Dear Sonya & Louis,
I recently had to put my dog to sleep due to old age. He was a Miniature Poodle. I felt like my dog was my real life guardian angel and soul mate. Chance was a special dog who was very loving and accepting. He went through a lot before he came to us. He had been hit by a car and abused. Once he came to me, I felt like it was meant to be. He lived with us for 10 years. I stayed with him when they put him to sleep. I knew he was in a lot of pain and the vet had told me he was going into kidney failure. He struggled when they gave him the relaxation shot, and I wondered if he was fighting to stay alive. When the vet gave him the final shot to put him to sleep, he did relax and as he was passing, he wagged his tail and that was it. So my question is what were his final moments like? And who was he wagging his tail at–was he saying goodbye or seeing other dogs that he knew that passed previously? And does Chance have anything that he would want us to know or any messages that he would want to say? We miss him very much.

Dear Anne Marie,
This is Louis here. You are absolutely right, Chance is your soul mate. And as he rubs his nose up against, mine, oh I love that…He is telling me that after he was rescued and came into your home, it was the happiest day of his life. And he has settled in so well because he felt like he knew you, and of course he did. Chance wants you to know that your souls have been in many past lives together. So this is not the only life that you have been in together and that is why you had such a connection with him, and he had such a strong connection with you.
Chance was glad to be released from his physical body and wants to thank you for helping him to get out of it. Also, just so you know, animals tolerate discomfort much more than humans can. He wants you all to know that he loves you very much and he knows how much you love him. There wasn’t a day of his life that he spent with you that he wasn’t happy. And Chance loved it when you kissed him on his head. One thing he didn’t like was having his nails clipped, and to be honest, neither did I when I was in my physical body. Chance and I both agree that it is nice that we don’t have to have our nails clipped in heaven. Chance is wagging his tail so much right now because all of his friends and the souls he had known in past lives and in this life too were waiting for him and welcoming him back to his spiritual home in heaven.
Lots of love to you,
From Louis, Woof Woof (As Read Through Sonya)
